Pondok Pesantren Darun Nun Menjadi pondok terdepan dalam pengajaran agama, bahasa, literasi dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki kekuatan akidah islamiyah, kemahiran berbahasa dan menulis, serta menjadi penggerak kemajuan masyarakat.

Teaching Method: Drill

One of the methods used by teachers in learning Islamic Religious Education is the drill or exercise method. Drill or exercise is a teaching method that can be used to activate students during the teaching and learning process because the drill method requires students to always learn and evaluate the exercises provided by the teacher. The drilling method is often referred to by people as ready practice and this shows that an islamic teacher must pay attention to how to train students so that they have high abilities. Examples of drill method are the routine activities of praying dhuha every day, reading prayers before and after studying, etc.

Salahuddin said that the drill method is an activity in doing the same thing repeatedly and seriously with the aim of strengthening an association or perfecting a skill so that it becomes permanent. According to Syaiful Sagala, the drill method is a training method which is a good way of teaching to instil certain habits. Also as a means to obtain agility, accuracy, opportunity and skills.

The drilling method guides students to have greater dexterity or expertise than what has been learned. The effectiveness of the Drill method in Islamic religious education is being able to get: (a) Psychological skills; such as practice invitations (lectures), and prayer bodies. (b) Federation intensity; such as reading notes (recitation) of the Qur'an, without lines. (c) Motor skills; such as writing a number of the Koran alphabet, reading the Koran, several pillars of ablution, and cleaning the corpse. (Priyono & Fathoni, 2019)

In addition to having good benefits, the drill method also has advantages and disadvantages in Islamic religious learning according to Syahraini Tambak:

Advantages of the Drill method:

(1) With a short duration of lessons and the provision of training, students gain the experience and skills or skills that are expected. 

(2) Students understanding of the material is getting more mature. 

(3) Providing continuous and consistent practice can give students good habits, such as consistently reading the Qur'an and praying 5 times a day.

Disadvantages of the Drill method:

(1) Limiting the ability, attention, progress and initiative of students because students are accustomed to being given instructions from the skill of teacher repskilledly. 

(2) Student adaptation to the environment is lacking. 

(3) Exercises seem monotonous and easily bored students.
